ABOUT
Soprano Lauren Maxwell is a versatile singing actress with a diverse resume. Recent performances include Greta Fiorentino in Street Scene, Florinda in Into the Woods, Clara in Passion, the ensemble for Arthur Sullivan's The Martyr of Antioch, Dalinda in Handel's Ariodante, Musetta in La Boheme, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, and Mrs. Gobineau in Menotti's The Medium. Most recently, she performed the role of Charlene in Service Provider with Modern Opera Company. A New Yorker since 2015, Ms. Maxwell received her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College, where she performed Adele in Die Fledermaus, Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, and the Ingenue in the original production Brooklyn, Baby! directed by Matthew Patrick Morris and Edwin Cahill. On film, she can be seen as Julie Simms in the Feature bowling Rom-Com SPLIT, available for purchase on multiple streaming platforms. Prior to NYC, Lauren performed extensively in Louisville, Kentucky, where she was a member of the Kentucky Opera Chorus, and performed with CenterStage and Savage Rose Classical Theater in everything from Sondheim to Shakespeare. A North Carolina Native, Ms. Maxwell earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Appalachian State University.
